ABOUT THE ARTIST
Taylor Spence is a young artist of exciting purport. He is an artist of diverse talents and interests which include, to date, five public mural projects, magazine covers, as well as one-artist and group exhibitions. He is the recipient of an Art Matters Inc. Grant for the excellence of his work and exceptionally political and current subject matter. Also, the Arts Foundation Grant for his water colors and a Creative Artists Network Representation Grant.
STATEMENT BY THE ARTIST
Art is for living, breathing flesh and blood people. Real organic life is in a work of art and is there forever for people. The person who truly cares is the person who stops on the busy street, engaged by a mural in progress, who gives change to a sidewalk artist or visits public museums or can not resist the local galleries. This is the person whose heart directs their steps, who reaches out to another aspiring person. These are the people my paintings are for.
