A professional artist for 30 years, Carole Katchen’s paintings have appeared in exhibits and books on several continents. Her unusual pastel techniques have been honored with awards from Pastel Society of America, Pastels U.S.A. and others. She was selected for World Who’s Who of Women, Who’s Who of American Art and Who’s Who in the South & Southwest. She has written 15 books and sold over 1 million copies.

Artist’s statement:

For me painting is a form of communication and a painting isn’t complete until a viewer has seen it and been moved by it. The power of art is that it transcends language, culture, age, sex and all other human limitations.
